Welcome Teachers!

We are so glad to be with you today. We look forward to working with you this year. We have much to share with you. We will be blogging this year. The blogs give us and opportunity to share information with each other. This is "your" spot on the web with resources to help you this year.

Thanks, for being here and for all you do for the kids of Madison County.
Tina, Rhonda, and Carol

Let's practice blogging:
Read both quotes below, pick one and comment how you feel it applies to your and your students. (All comments will be anonymous)
"The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. "~Alvin Toffler

"Globalization is not something we can hold off or turn off....it is the economic equivalent of a force of nature----like wind or water."~Bill Clinton

Hello,
Technology is taking us over, but don't forget about good ole books!!!

For me, the 21st century quote seems to reinforce the thought that students don't need to know things as long as they know a way to figure it out. I DISAGREE!!! Being able to learn things are really important, but knowing how to spell, write with correct grammar, recite basic facts, etc. is the basis for all learning in my opinion!

Hey! This is my first time "blogging". I agree with the first quote - our students are losing the ability to think for themselves; therefore, they have difficulty truly learning anything. If we are afraid to make a mistake, we cannot learn from them! I only had to touch a hot stove once!
